Local cheese farm in Asturias

Asturias is known as the País de los Quesos or ‘Land of Cheeses, and is home to over 100 different varieties of artisanal cheese. A visit of a traditional cheese farm is a unique and authentic experience. The area boasts beautiful landscape, views and fresh air; the charming locals will show you how the local queso de Cabrales and sidra (cider) are made.  You will also take a walk through the pristine Asturian nature to a cave where the famous cheese is matured and then visit a rural farm where you will learn about sidra. Your visit will end with a typical Asturian »espicha« (a gathering with friends) where you will find out more about the tastes and stories of Asturias.
